Year 6 Geography: Landmarks

Year 6 Geography: Landmarks
  • Lefkosia
  • Primary

Within the curriculum of their Geography lessons, PASCAL Private school Lefkosia Year 6 pupils have created outstanding 3D models of various landmarks of England. They researched their cultural and historical significance and represented their creations with a variety of materials, from styrofoam to clay, from  mechano to lego,  from wooden sticks to cardboard boxes. We had the iconic Telephone Booths and Post Office Boxes, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace, the Double Deckers and of course Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Furthermore, they recreated Wembley Stadium and Tower Bridge and colourful Covent Garden Market. Outside of London, Stonehenge of course was represented as well as the Angel of the North, Beachy Head Lighthouse and Warwick Castle. They applied all their creativity and knowledge to their projects and proudly presented them to their fellow students and teachers.
