Globeducate Academic Olympics

Between the 19th to the 22nd of November 2024, fourteen pupils from PASCAL Private Secondary Schools Lefkosia, Lemesos, and Larnaca proudly represented their schools at the #Globeducate Academic Olympic Games in Vigo, Spain. Over three action-packed days, they showcased their talents in STEAM challenges and immersed themselves in the vibrant culture of the Galician city, returning home with unforgettable memories. Each day featured a variety of activities, with challenging STEAM tasks designed to test their problem-solving and teamwork skills. The daily activities immersed the pupils into the fields of Robotics, Science, Mathematics, Art, Literature and History with a standout moment for many being the finale of a thrilling treasure hunt through the streets of Vigo, combining collaboration with exploration of the city’s rich history and stunning landmarks.

The PASCAL pupils had the unique opportunity to stay with welcoming host families in Vigo, breaking out of their comfort zones and enriching their personal growth. This cultural exchange added depth to their experience, offering them a firsthand taste of Spanish life and traditions as well as enhancing their interpersonal skills. Overall, the trip was a transformative experience for the pupils through which they forged new friendships, expanded their cultural horizons, and enhanced essential skills like communication and collaboration—all while discovering the charm of one of Spain’s most picturesque cities.
