Students from PASCAL Private Secondary School Lefkosia, together with peers from our sister schools in Lemesos and Larnaka, had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Academic Olympics 2025, hosted by Globeducate in Milan. This year’s theme, “Sustainable Cities,” challenged students to think creatively and critically about the future of urban living. During the trip, pupils embarked on a dynamic scavenger hunt through Milan’s historic city centre, solving academic riddles that encouraged them to observe the city’s architecture, culture, and environmental features. These experiences later inspired the design and construction of their own 3D model of a sustainable city, which they built collaboratively during the competition. The group also explored the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, where they examined early technological innovations and reflected on how ideas from centuries ago continue to influence modern approaches to sustainability. Throughout the event, our students not only expanded their knowledge and strengthened their problem-solving skills but also had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with young people from other Globeducate schools worldwide. The trip was a memorable experience that combined learning, creativity, and international friendship—an inspiring showcase of global education in action.
