A group of Year 4-6 pupils studying Art or History as elective subjects recently took part in an educational field trip to Berlin, which took place between the 27th and 31st of January 2026. Accompanied by their teachers, Ms. Ioanna Kanari, Mr. Giorgios Vasilakis and Ms. Nectaria Hadjisergis, the pupils spent four enriching days engaging in a wide range of historic, cultural, and recreational activities that deepened their understanding of World War II, post-war Berlin, and contemporary artistic expression.

Visits to key sites such as the Topography of Terror, the Berlin Wall Memorial, and the DDR Museum offered powerful insights into Germany’s turbulent past and the realities of life in a divided city. Pupils also explored the Espionage Museum, gaining a fascinating perspective on Cold War intelligence and surveillance.

Recreational activities included exploring Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer Platz, shopping at the Mall of Berlin, and viewing the iconic Berlin Wall graffiti.
