PASCAL Lefkosia  Robotics Team Achieves Outstanding Success in National and International Competitions

The PASCAL Private Secondary School Lefkosia Robotics Team achieved remarkable success in the National Round of the Annual Robotic Day Competition, held in Cyprus on the 7^th and 8^th of March 2026.

Competing in three highly demanding categories—Line Follower, Bear Rescue, and Sumo—the team demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, teamwork, creativity, and dedication. The students, Ioannou Antreas, Kasparis Efstratios, Akkides Demetris, Thomas Hall, Geropapas Yiangos, and Elizaveta Orekhova, worked tirelessly throughout the season to prepare for the competition and showcased their skills at the highest level.

Guided by their dedicated teacher-coaches Mr. Loucas Ioannou and Mr. Panayiotis Kolios, whose support played a vital role in the team’s success, their efforts were rewarded with an outstanding set of results as the team secured first place in both the Line Follower and Bear Rescue categories, while also earning second place in Line Follower and third place in Sumo. These achievements placed the PASCAL team among the most successful participants in the national competition and highlighted the depth of talent within the group.

The impressive results secured qualification for the international round of the competition, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic, on the 6^th and 7^th of June 2026. Representing Cyprus on the international stage, the students competed with distinction alongside teams from various countries, gaining valuable experience and demonstrating the high standard of robotics education at PASCAL.

The international competition provided students with an invaluable opportunity to challenge themselves at a higher level, exchange ideas with peers from different countries, and further develop their engineering, programming, and problem-solving skills. Beyond the competition arena, the visit to Prague offered a rich cultural and educational experience. Students explored the city's historic centre, admired its renowned architectural landmarks, and gained insight into its cultural heritage, broadening their learning beyond the classroom.
