The Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2024, PASCAL Private English School Lefkosia

On Friday the 28^th of June 2024, PASCAL Private English School Lefkosia held its annual Years 1-5 Awards and Graduation ceremonies, on the school premises, at 18:30 and 19:30 respectively, hosting an audience of over 500 people comprising guest speakers, Embassy officials, staff members, parents, guardians, pupils, family members and friends.

The Years 1-5 Awards Ceremony was the perfect opportunity for the Head Teacher, Mr. Marios Hadjivasiliou, and President of the Parents and Guardians Association, Mr. Nikos Vladimirou, to address parents and pupils of Years 1-5, offering praise as well as words of encouragement for the years that follow. Pupils who achieved the Highest Weighted Averages in their year group were awarded with certificates and monetary prizes, as were pupils who achieved first, second and third places in academic and athletic competitions in which they represented the school. Pupils who attained second and third Highest Weighted Averages in their year group were awarded with certificates and the Outstanding Achievement in Sports Award was also given to the pupil who attained remarkable successes over the course of the year in his sport, pupil-athlete Antonis Sophocleous of class 4B, who won GOLD MEDAL in the Taekwondo Gymnasiade, held in Brazil.

The Graduation and Awards Ceremony which followed marked the end of another successful academic year and served as a wonderful way of bidding farewell to the graduating pupils through inspiring speeches, awards, monetary prizes and the presentation of various local university scholarships. The ceremony hosted esteemed guests comprising His Excellency the Libyan Ambassador and Professor Stavros Zenios of the University of Cyprus. Pupils were awarded certificates and monetary prizes for attaining the Highest Subject Average per subject, for their successes in competitions and extracurricular activities, and for contributions to the Arts. Amongst all these, the school also proudly awarded its TOP GRADUATE, Eleni Hadjigeorgiou of class 6B, the ‘Top Graduate’ award, kindly sponsored by KPMG, its SECOND HIGHEST WEIGHTED AVERAGE Award was given to Maria-Karolina Theophanous of class 6B, its GLOBEDUCATE ROLL OF HONOUR Award to Athina Karayianni of class 6A for her continuous academic and extracurricular notable achievements, characterized by her natural leadership qualities and an unyielding zeal and ethos, and the OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN SPORTS Award was given to Aris Stylianides 6B for attaining first place in the Senior Taekwondo Championships and receiving the Best Junior Taekwondo Athlete of 2023 title, by the Cyprus Olympic Committee.

Ceremonies such as these serve as a reflection of the hard work and ongoing commitment and dedication that the PASCAL Private English School Lefkosia and its teachers exhibit each year, which result in remarkable successes in academic and extracurricular as well as personal areas, culminating in the development of healthy, competent and confident future citizens of the world.
