The Year 5 students proudly welcomed their families to a wonderful Parents as Partners event, celebrating a year of inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences.

The event began with an introduction to how students learn through inquiry and collaboration, followed by presentations on Approaches to Learning skills and the Learner Profile attributes, with each student confidently presenting one attribute and reflecting on its importance in everyday learning and life.

Parents also enjoyed a special video presentation showcasing Year 5 achievements, memorable moments, and activities from throughout the academic year.

Students then presented their impressive “Time Machine” and “Wormhole” projects, explaining not only the final outcomes but also the research, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills involved throughout the process. They thoughtfully reflected on the learner profile attributes they developed while working on their projects.

Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the students’ recycled material canvases, demonstrating how recycled materials can be transformed into something meaningful and beautiful while promoting environmental awareness.

Parents and students also took part in creative collaborative activities, including leaf paint engraving thank-you notes and designing artwork together inspired by the idea that “something simple can be beautiful.”

We would like to thank Mr. George Nicolaou, our STEAM Coordinator, for his incredible guidance, creativity, and continuous support throughout the preparation of the projects and activities.

Finally, a huge thank you to Class Teacher Ms. Andrie Theodosiou and TA Ms. Sabrina Naser for organising such a meaningful and engaging event and for supporting our students every step of the way.
