We are delighted to share the outstanding success of our Year 5A students, who recently participated in the WWF Challenge on ITZA, an interactive global online competition designed to promote environmental awareness and inquiry-based learning.

The latest challenge focused on the Five Oceans, providing students with the opportunity to explore ocean habitats, marine biodiversity, and key environmental issues through engaging videos, quizzes, and story-based activities. The platform encourages the development of research skills, critical thinking, and global awareness, while enabling students to collaborate and compete with peers from around the world.

Our students said:
Arsen: “I enjoyed taking part in WWF because it was fun and interesting… I learned many things about the oceans and the animals that live there!”
Esther: “It was exciting because we watched videos and answered questions… I also liked that there was a story!”

We are especially proud to announce that our 5A students achieved 1st place globally, earning an impressive total of 13,792 points. This remarkable accomplishment reflects their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to learning.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, highlighting the interactive nature of the competition. They particularly appreciated the opportunity to watch educational videos, answer questions, and engage with the storyline elements of the platform, which made learning both enjoyable and meaningful.

The WWF Challenge aligns closely with the primary curriculum, offering a valuable extension of classroom learning while fostering environmental responsibility and global citizenship.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Andrie Theodosiou and Ms. Sabrina Naser for their excellent organisation and guidance throughout this activity, supporting our students in achieving such an impressive result.

Congratulations once again to our Year 5A students on this exceptional achievement. We look forward to their continued success in future global challenges.
