Our first Clubs sessions were held on Thursday the 24th of October during which our pupils spent their day doing a variety of activities according to their preferences.
There are a total of 26 Clubs running this year encompassing physical, scientific, creative, academic and voluntary programmes. During the first session, depending on the pupils’ individual preferences, they participated in a variety of sports such as: Rock Climbing, Trampolining, Paintballing, Go-Karting, Rugby, Ping Pong, Chess, Yoga, Martial Arts, Escape Room games and Orienteering.
Those who chose more academic-oriented Clubs visited the University of Nicosia or learnt how to do heart dissections! The more creative-minded visited Food Park restaurant for a cooking workshop, the Nicosia Mall for a make-up workshop, took a dance lesson in Hip Hop, made handicrafts in the Pinterest Club, or took lessons in Photography and Graphic Design! The members of our Music club and the school play cast had their first rehearsal, or began work on the set, for this year’s production of High School Musical!
Our Eco-Warriors visited a PV lab, our Engineers visited the Cyprus Planetarium, and our Robotics Team was hard at work preparing for their upcoming competitions. Our Junior Achievement team met and had their first brainstorming session, whilst our Volunteerism Club pupils undertook a beach clean-up at Makenzy beach in Larnaka. Other pupils who chose more cultural Clubs visited the monument of the Imprisoned Graves, the Archbishopric in Nicosia, and the Bienalle Art Exhibition in Larnaka.
Our Clubs form an integral part of our school’s extracurricular programme, aiming to enrich our pupils’ development and expose them to learning experiences which will enable them to broaden their knowledge and life skills.
