PASCAL Private Primary School and Kindergarten Lefkosia, enthusiastically participated in Outdoor Classroom Day on Thursday, November 3rd. The day was marked by a wholehearted embrace of interactive learning activities, resulting in an absolute blast for our pupils. From crafting bird feeders to planting seeds, engaging in street art, embarking on a nature scavenger hunt, and much more, the event was a dynamic showcase of creativity and exploration. Our pupils enjoyed the opportunity to step outside the traditional classroom setting, fostering a deeper connection with the natural world.
The activities not only provided a platform for fun but also served as valuable learning experiences. Crafting bird feeders allowed students to understand the importance of caring for local wildlife, while planting seeds instilled a sense of responsibility for nurturing and growing living things. Street art and the nature scavenger hunt encouraged teamwork, creativity, and observation skills.
The success of Outdoor Classroom Day demonstrated our school’s commitment to holistic education, integrating hands-on experiences that promote curiosity and growth. As we witnessed laughter amidst learning and the joyous exploration of the world outside, it affirmed the words of John Keats: ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever,’ and indeed, the beauty of outdoor learning brings everlasting joy to our children’s educational journey.
